I read a quite a few websites and blogs regularly, so I figured it would probably be a good idea to start linking to them. Here’s a couple to get started with.
I can’t remember how I stumbled upon Shaun Groves’ blog, but it happened quite a whiles back. And without fail, it’s been an excellent and thought provoking read throughout.
About a month or so ago, Shaun dissappeared for a bit. I noticed that his almost daily posts were missing, but figured he was just taking some down-time. But he returned a few days later with a series of seven entries about a crisis of faith that he had recently been through.
Even if you don’t read his blog regularly, I highly recommend the following:
Two Weeks Ago Today: Friday
Two Weeks Ago Today: Saturday
Two Weeks Ago Today: Sunday
Two Weeks Ago Today: Monday
Two Weeks Ago Today: Tuesday
Two Weeks Ago Today: Wednesday
Two Weeks Ago Today: Wednesday, Part 2
Off The Map won the bidding at $504.00 and as a result, Hemant has agreed to attend one hour of church for every $10.00 he received. (He’s not keeping the money – he donated it to the Secular Students Alliance.) And while he’s doing that, he’s also filling out a ‘survey’ of sorts about his experiences as he visits each church. Needless to say, the results have been very interesting.
Now, you may not agree with Off The Map’s approach or ideals. I’m going to guess you probably won’t agree with Hemant’s take on religion or God. Regardless, this is the kind if dialogue we need to be engaging in.
Aaaand that’s all for now, folks. I’ll fix this up as the day passes.
